About G.O. Discovery Lab
The G.O. Discovery Lab is a research laboratory focused on studying gynecologic oncology (G.O.). It is located at the University of California, Los Angeles, affiliated with the Eli and Edythe Broad Stem Cell Research Center, the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Biological Chemistry. We use basic science to develop new and better treatments for gynecologic cancers. The lab was founded in 2008 by Dr. Sanaz Memarzadeh and is funded by federal grants, awards from foundations and private donations. The G.O. Discovery Lab website is registered by Regents of UC California.

Our Research
The G.O. Discovery Lab focuses on overcoming the clinical problem of therapy resistance found in two poorly understood and under-studied gynecologic malignancies, ovarian and endometrial carcinoma. Although our work focuses on these two diseases, many of our findings are applicable to other cancers in addition to gynecologic carcinomas.
